The 2017 Mobi Lodge adventure caravan, now available in a ready-to-tow, fully functional specification, boasts a range of features tailored for a comfortable and adventurous journey. The caravan’s dimensions, with a body length of 4.7m, total length of 5.6m, width of 2.1m, and a height reaching 2.5m, provide ample space for a cozy interior. The headroom inside extends up to 1950mm.
In terms of weight, the Tare ranges from 1370kg to 1480kg, depending on specifications, including standard equipment and an empty water tank. The GVM is set at 1750kg, making it suitable for towing by vehicles with a Tare of 1750kg or more. The nose weight starts as light as 65kg.
The caravan’s body features a robust construction with a fiberglass, steel-braced, mono-hull design. It rests on a galvanized steel ladder frame chassis with a 4mm thick main frame. The chassis includes a 2.5-ton Buirquip brake axle, long leaf springs, a 2.7-ton German brake system, and a heavy-duty nose wheel.
Running gear comprises three 16” mag wheels paired with 265/70/16 all-terrain tires. The slide room includes a permanent island bed, deluxe double mattress, three armored glass sliding windows, and three fly & privacy nets.
Inside, the bathroom features a fixed shower with a high-pressure pump, a direct-flow gas geyser for instant hot water, a 150L main water tank, and a Porta Potti chemical toilet. The dining area includes a table with stools, an 18L microwave, and a mini-bar with wine glasses and bottle holders.
The kitchen, both interior and exterior, is equipped with a fold-up roof, a fold-down work surface, a 2-burner gas stove, and various kitchenware essentials. Storage options abound with a 2100L closet, wardrobe, and groceries space, along with compartments for geyser, tools, gas, and more.
Safety features include a fixed digital safe and a fire extinguisher. The caravan’s electric and gas setup includes 220V plugs, a battery monitor and alarm, a 220/12V DB board, LED lights, and a Dometic water pump. Additionally, it comes with expedition gear, a tool kit, and the option for a selected range of upgrades and accessories on any model. Terms and Conditions
Deposit
A Deposit of R5,000 for local trips or R10,000 for neighbouring countries is payable 7 days before collection. A payment request will be emailed to you 14 days before your trip start date.
Camper Rules
The maximum GVM of a braked trailer may not exceed the tow vehicle’s tare mass up to a maximum of 3 500 kg

Cleaning Fee
Once-off cleaning fee: R250
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation made 30 days before the departure date will qualify for a 50% refund.
Insurance Disclosure
Insurance is included in the per day rate, provided by an Authorised Financial Service Provider.
Liability and Use of Deposit:
In the event of a claim arising from any damages or loss during the rental period, the renter will be fully liable for the insurance excess amount. The deposit paid by the renter will be applied towards covering this excess. Should the excess exceed the deposit amount, the renter will be responsible for settling the remaining balance.
The renter acknowledges and agrees to the following:
Liability for Excess:
The renter will be responsible for the full excess payable under the insurance policy in the event of a claim.
Use of Deposit:
The deposit paid at the start of the rental period will be applied towards the excess amount.
Additional Payment:
If the deposit does not fully cover the excess, the renter will be liable for the outstanding balance and will be required to pay this amount upon notification.
